Its predecessor was Takeya Ryokan, which was founded in 1948. It has been loved and nurtured as a ryokan representing Shimizu by many visitors, including famous people from various fields. Japanese hospitality unique to ryokans and a love for the local area are still being handed down from now on.
The 15th anniversary of the renovation of the entire building is decorated with green and orange theme colors in the rooms. Green is the symbol of Shizuoka's specialty tea and Takeya Ryokan, and orange is inspired by Shizuoka Mandarin Orange and Shimizu S-Pulse. In addition, the hotel restaurant "Cuomo" conveys the charm of Shimizu in the style of Italian. The head chef of fujinokuni's food capital creation is a chef who uses local ingredients and serves original dishes based on Western dishes.
